After graduating from art school in South Australia, I worked as a freelance designer creating record covers and marketing for many iconic Australian bands, including Icehouse, INXS, and Mental as Anything
This led to work in theatre and I had the good fortune to work with some of the leading directors and companies in Australia designing both sets and costumes. My work has been seen in productions at the Adelaide Festival Centre, The Wharf Theatre, and the Sydney Opera House.
Many leading Australian cultural institutions, such as Sydney Theatre Company, Sydney Opera House Trust, Adelaide Festival, Sydney Festival, Melbourne International Festival, and SBS have commissioned my design work. I have also worked for Regular Records, Remo General Store, TEDxSydney, General Thinking, and Deus Ex Machina.
I have designed interiors for restaurants and nightclubs, furniture, visual identities for cultural institutions, book designs for artists and authors, award-winning magazines and catalogues, packaging, and computer interfaces.
My graphic and publication design was recognised in the USA and I had the opportunity to live there from 1994 to 2010. During that time I worked for major companies including The Walt Disney Company, W Hotels, America Online, TimeWarner, Just One Eye, Gagosian Galleries, and Barclays Bank. I have also developed digital properties for the artist Ed Ruscha, and the (late) author Dominic Dunne.
I have received numerous awards for graphic, theatre and book designs. My work is in the permanent collection of the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, the National Gallery of Victoria, and the Royal Library in London.
