H.AI.KU
H.AI.KU is a dance between randomness and recognition.
Two forgotten images, three drifting words - gathered by a machine, then spun into a fragile poem. No guiding hand, no hidden plan.
We are creatures of meaning, forever searching the noise for messages - faces in the walls, omens in the clouds, stories in the static.
This impulse, this beautiful flaw, is called apophenia.
Here, in these chance-born collages, we glimpse the mind's endless hunger: to find order, to invent wonder, to weave sense where there is only silence.
I created a program to randomly combine two bland stock images with three randomly selected words. I then programmed ChatGPT to write a haiku using the words. Sometimes the end product was nonsense, sometimes chillingly profound.
